In 2023, Kay Bojesen's legendary and beloved Elephant celebrates its 70th anniversary. To mark this occasion, Kay Bojesen has created a Reworked Elephant - a special edition made from a wonderful mix of different types of wood such as teak, walnut, oak, ash, and maple - all sourced from surplus and leftover wood. With a focus on upcycling and minimizing resource waste, the Reworked Elephant introduces a new, modern, and sustainable dimension. It not only pays tribute to the past but also represents the future. Out of respect for the environment, the Reworked Elephant is made from leftover wood, meaning that each elephant will have a unique appearance depending on the available wood types on the day of production. This makes the Reworked Elephant even more unique than the original classic, if that's even possible.
The small Reworked Elephant stands at 13 cm tall and features a stamp commemorating the 70th anniversary on the underside of one foot. It comes in a special limited edition wooden anniversary box. Only 600 pieces will be produced, and each one is numbered.
