Clear lines and quality in the craftsmanship are characteristics that characterized the wood art of Th. Skjøde Knudsen, which he made in his own factory in Skjern in the period 1960-1977. Th. Skjøde Knudsen was eclectic in his designs, ranging from wooden animals to creative wooden games. It was precisely these wooden games that gave rise to a long collaboration with Piet Hein, who had a passion for mathematical puzzles in the form of games, and published the well-known “SOMA cube” and “Superægget”.
