Hold the champagne or sparkling wine bottle at an angle of approx. 20 degrees and move the blunt side of the saber (back) in a flowing movement over the bottle body and onto the bottle neck. When the blade hits the bead of the bottle head from below, the head of the bottle with the bead and the cork is knocked off. A great way to celebrate.
The practiced Saberur opens the bottle with little loss of the sparkling wine. However, we recommend allowing some of the content to run out to remove any glass splinters from the bottle neck. In addition, the first poured glass should be examined for small glass splinters.
The blade is blunt, because the bottle is not opened by its sharpness, but by the impact of the saber.
Please note: Keep the saber and the severed neck of the bottle out of the reach of children and animals, handle bottles and broken glass with care and never drink from the bottle.
